After a tragic accident, a teenager has her brain significantly altered with experimental technology in order to function properly again. However, it comes with a price - the computers and software in her head are locked down under horrible copyright and usage restrictions, influencing her interests, thoughts, and even her dreams.

This story is a YA novelette, with a wordcount of approximately 8,800, minus the afterword at the end. This story is licensed under a Creative Commons license, so feel free to do with it as you wish.

Once in the facility, Evita is tagged as a test subject and loses all say over what happens to her body. She has to escape. By the time she comes up with a plan there is only one problem. Evita isn't ready to leave.
