The year is 5475. In 3998 the world was destroyed due to world war three. Major towns and cities were destroyed in nuclear attacks. Some people were able to make it to underground bunkers and, for the most part, survived. 
  Others were stuck on the surface. One in a hundred people lived. The survivors became genetically mutated over time. They developed powers such as being able to control or create things.  
  In 5035, the people underground came back up. They were horrified by this new race of humans and killed the majority of their population. The survivors went into hiding as small towns were rebuilt. 
  Seventy five years ago the people in hiding came back out and hid among the humans. Eventually it was figured out they were alive but couldn't pinpoint who. An organization was formed to hunt them down and kill them.

I asked, standing with my hands on my hips. "No, I hope to get to know her when you're ready." He said, and I blinked, a little astonished that he would be so cool with me having a child. Most dominant male wolves are against the idea of their mates ever having been with another. Hope Mayson was only 18 when her whole world shifted, and her best friend died. She died and left everything to Hope, including her baby daughter, Elena. To keep Elena safe from her father, Hope took her newly adopted daughter and ran. For 5 years, Hope kept Elena safe until Hope's mate, Jack, came into their lives, and soon the past catches up with the present.

Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.

The banging starts again but this time a lot louder. I can hear the girls screaming up stairs. I pick up my phone and dial 911. "Hello this is 911 what's your emergency?" "There are a bunch of wolves outside my house. I think they have rabies or something I'm not sure." The banging gets louder and I can feel my face getting wet from the tears. "Mamm did you say wolves are there?" "Yes Yes there are wolves about 10 of them out here in my front yard. I need help!" I hang up the phone and sit on the end of the stair case. I close my eyes and start praying. Something I haven't done in a while. "I have faith, there is a god. I have faith, there is a god, I have faith, there is a god." I repeat over and over. The glass breaks and I start screaming. I stand up and try to scramble up the stairs. The door comes falling down and there are about 10 wolves standing in front of my door. A woman emerges and walks toward me. She snaps her fingers and the pretty brown wolf is in front of me. Right there by my face. "Ridanna you know what to do." Her teeth is wrapped around my neck and she sinks them in. I try to scream but it's hard to. At first it hurts but now the pain no longer exists. I feel like there is no such thing as pain and I feel light as if I can float off the Earth. Fine as hell white boy with a pro-black activist fall for each other. Cherise Miss Activist doesn't want to date Zaire the fine as hell white boy not for his race but for his secrets. What if he had a past he didn't tell you about and the only way you found out is because the past came to kill you? And I'm not talking werewolves and vampires. Cherise would only wish for problems for they would be so simple compared to hers and Zaire's. If any woman found out Zaire's secrets they'd take off running to the nearest police station or they end up in a body bag in the end. Depends....which will come first?

I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day. My life was supposed to be normal. You're born, raised by good parents, go to school, make friends, graduate, get a job. You create fun memories, find the love of your life, get married, start a family, grow old, and eventually, you breathe your last. That's what life was supposed to be like for me. But instead, my life turned out to be the opposite of normal. And so it was for Chiara, Blake, Jake, Rowan, Nova, and Dijon. To tell our story, we need to go all the way back to the beginning. Before we were even born. It all started 30 years ago. April 5, 2003. a class got into an accident and when the survivors woke up, they realized something was wrong. they got powers , they got taken by scientist who started calling them the hollows. It took almost a month before they were rescued by Mr. Knight, they got taken to a secret place where they could live peacefully. that's a lie, one of the students wanted revenge and not stay hidden, so the group seperated. Every year another person got powers, and so, the search continued. But there was always one question on mr. Knight mind: Why 12 children the first time, and only one per year after that? And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be? And one more thing before I go-welcome to the world of Dark Light.

He paid more attention to people now. Little did he know that this little difference would kill him the next time he encountered another alien about to return home. It would tear him apart, cell by cell, until he was unmade. His mind being transported away. --- So distantly far away there is a race that advanced to the point where they built dyson spheres to house their civilizations. In their continual expansion, they seeded galaxies with pods and connection satellites. Over time they upgraded their dyson spheres into matryoshka brain Cores. Imagine a computer powered by a star. Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn't age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives. Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth's hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens. When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core. As a Guest he has limited powers, a starting balance of zero cr or Citizen credits, and no idea how he can get home. He is the first human to ever become a Guest of a Core. Where money itself is the highest form of their science.

Or make it worse. Planet Earth was never the way it used to be in the past for it is shared to by seven factions, Humans, Demons, Undead, Orcs, Elves, Dwarves, and Monsters. They were all powerful factions but then one day a Great War had happened between all of the factions. It was bloody, chaotic and destructive the Kingdom of Elvon died and crumble to the ground and the brothers are the last ones alive. Will they live or die? Will they make the war worse or end it? Will they save the planet from total destruction or cause the total destruction?

I was born and raised to belong to someone that will one day take me away like the fairy tale stories that I listened to everyday in the house I live in. I prayed every night that a handsome prince would come and take me to live in his castle just like in the books. I prayed that I would be a princess and have a kingdom just like in the books. But I was never told that the books were all lies. I was never told the true reason why I was a well sought after commodity. I was never told that I am not the only one like me. When I found out it was too late to save myself. To think and in less than 4 days I will be taken away from my current home and be in a home of my own. I sat on the simple wooden bed hoping that my owner was nice and kind. I hated to think about some of the stories that I heard about the other girls like me. I hated thinking about being exterminated because I made my owner unhappy. I thought to myself that I would try real hard to keep him happy. I remember the covenant of rules that would keep me and my owner happy. I would need to follow five rules. 1. Always obey my owner. 2. Always be available to my owner. 3. Never talk back. 4. Always agree with my owner. 5. I am not human so I cannot do human things. I wondered how pretty human women were. I was so nervous about my departure I nearly refused to leave my room. I could leave if there wasn’t anything wrong with me physically. I remember the den mother telling me not to do anything that would cause a refund or else I would be exterminated upon refund. My new owner had thirty days to return me. If he returned me and no one else was interested I would be exterminated. I would be killed because it would be thought that I was defective and no one would want a defective product.
