Harry Potter is only fourteen. He was eleven at the start of it all. Harry Potter is just a kid who must give up his already horrid childhood for the sake of wizards everywhere. First, it was the loss of his parents, then neglect, then abuse, then torture, then bullying, the constant battles against evil, and now, it's Voldemort. Will Harry ever get a break to just be a kid? Will he ever get the chance to enjoy the childhood he never had? "Protected" is the story where Harry Potter goes and lives with none other than Severus Snape. This takes place right after The Goblet of Fire. Sirius is still in hiding. Remus is laying low. Hermione and Ron are acting strange. The two boys are forced to live with each other. There is less hate and resentment towards one another but a little bit of misunderstanding. After a breakdown, Harry regresses to an unknown mindset, otherwise known as littlespace.
