“Tony she wants to meet you, she asked about you last night when I was reading her a bedtime story. She’s going to love you. Everything will be okay, I promise.”

“Charlie…wake up babygirl…it’s time to wake up…” Good, he was starting off great.

Charlotte hummed tiredly and her eyes slowly opened, staring into the identical ones of Tony’s. She smiled at him in confusion, her sleepy grin lazy and her eyes squinting, her long lashes gently brushing her face. Tony’s smile softened even more but grew wider as he continued to rub her back.

“There are those beautiful eyes…good morning Charlie.” She yawned cutely before wiggling her little, lightly freckled button nose that was a match to mine. She even wiggled her nose just like me when I first wake up.

“Daddy?” My heart skipped a beat and Tony looked surprised for a moment, before he nodded his head, continuing to smile at her.

“Yeah Charlie…I’m your daddy.”

“Hi daddy, it’s nice to finally meet you.”
