Dear mom, I know you always did everything for me and I thank you for that. When dad left all you did was drink. You would only drink a few shots when I was around thank you for trying to protect me. I want you to know that I could always hear you downstairs and the items being knocked around. I could always hear you scream and cry. Now I am 16 and I can't buy a place. I can't move out so this was my best option. I ran away not because I hate you but because I love you and every time you looked at me you saw dad. To help you get better I want to leave. This is why I ran away, By now I am long gone and you can't catch me. Good bye mam I love you so dear. -Love your daughter Alicia. This was the note I left when I ran but not all of it was true. I don't know if I ran away for her or for me. All I knew was that I had to get out one way or another. I ran out blind and that is what I am still doing. I'm going in without knowing anything.
