So Happy Together

Tumutulo yung luha ko, Malamig ang pakiramdam ng mukha ko. "Bakit naman kasi kailangan pa natin maghiwalay?" Pinunas ko yung luha ko agad, gamit ang aking mga daliri upang hindi umiyak. But its no use. It just keeps on pouring. The pain just hurts too much.

"Hey." He placed his warm hands on my shoulder blades. "Don't cry Yue, okay?" He cupped my face with both of his hands and gently wiped my tears with his thumb.

"I can't help it." I shook my head hard.

"Shhhhh," pinatahan niya ako habang hinihimas ang aking buhok. I breathed in his scent of laundry soap and light citrus cologne. "Tahan na. We'll make it work. I promise," his voice was shaky. "Besides this time, we'll keep in touch so that we won't drift away."

"Promise we'll always be together?" I looked at him and he broke into a gentle laugh. I looked like a mess. My eyes are already puffing up and I think something is dripping from my nose.

"I promise," he said while wiping my face with his gray cotton sleeve.

"Forever?"

He smiled and kissed my forehead, "Forever it is. Forever together."
