In a world ruled by the dead, what would be the most important thing to you? What is it that you would sit around dreaming about? Would you dream about what life was like before the infection hit? Would you think about if there is anybody else still alive? Or would you just not dream at all, continuing life as it is and accept that you now have to share the world with flesh-eating monsters?

For Alice, staying at home and doing what she is supposed to do to keep the village running just simply isn't enough. She longs to learn about what lies beyond the village's fences that separates her world from the dead's. She doesn't believe what everyone else says, that there is nothing out there but monsters that wish to cause her death. She thinks there is more out there, and she wants to know what it is. She wants to be great.

On the night Alice's village is attacked, she gets her chance. Alice gets the chance to escape along with her best friends, Harry and River. The only thing is, now they are out there all alone in the open, with no protection from the dead ones walking. Will they be able to survive this torturous journey? Or will they fail and come knocking on Death's doorstep?

There are a lot of zombie apocalypse One Direction fan fictions out there, so I tried to make this one different than the ones I've read. Enjoy!
