The story is situated in an old Arabic / Egyptian like setting and most of the time the story is set in the dessert Memmun.
A girl is kidnapped by a well known terrifying group of thief's , like many others. They are used like slaves, they have to search and dig for gems and gold . 20 years ago there was a war between 2 desert clans. During that war the same group of thieves tried an attempt to steal the gold and gems from the two clans. But because a sandstorm even they lost the gems they just stole. Ayala and the other children find some of the hidden gems across the flaming hot desert. Every member of the thief group is cruel and cold to the children but one defends and protects them. A young boy named Koha. He is the youngest member but he has surprisingly a higher ranking than most of the older members. He protects and helps the children in need and swore to take revenge on the leader of the group Yamal. No one knows the reason. Ayala and koha will become great friends, they will have each others backs. Together with the others they'll come up with a strategy to overpower the group members and to escape before Yamal executes his plan in the big city Tahib. But that remains a mystery for now.
