Potions class is rather dull, with a new professor that's half blind and seems to either fall asleep in the middle of teaching or fails to show up entirely. Constantly being under no kind of adult supervision gives rise to many, many crazy ideas, most of them bad, and all of them headed by Co-Captains James Potter and Aspen Harbinger. Unfortunately for their friends, James inherited his grandmother's skill with Potions. So, when the mischievous fifth years hatch a notorious plan to take advantage of the potion making supplies and equipment, they send their friend group spiraling into chaos, and everyone becomes a pawn in their complex chess game. And like in Wizard's Chess, someone's bound to get hurt.

Insanity erupts between their friends, and trust gets misplaced as well as friendships broken. All James and Aspen wanted was to shake things up, not destroy the bonds that held them all together. How will they fix this mess?
