From Out of the Shadows

Elysia was the quietest girl in her school. She walked down the halls alone with her head down and her hands stuffed in her pockets. This was the way she intended to get through high school. If no one noticed her, then no one could bother her. But all that changed when she met him. Her life changed entirely. River Adams was the classic rebel child, always into trouble and never seemed to care about the consequences. He could've had anyone in the school, God knows they were falling over themselves to have a piece of him. Well, anyone but her. She couldn't stand him. He irritated her to no end. He was the absolute last person that she wanted to run into. But she did. She walked right into him. And he became hell-bent on pulling her out of the shadows she had been so content to live in.
