After not seeing her brother for a couple of years, Freya Landeskog and her "twin sister", Klara decide it's time to move out to Colorado be with Gabriel since all they want is family around and start their new post-college lives. Klara finds herself landing her dream job, working within the Colorado Avalanche organization. But Freya on the other hand, is slowly starting to struggle to keep up. She is now forced to work two part time jobs when her first couldn't give a damn about her, giving out limited hours to work and to build up a decent paycheck. She least expected meeting Matt Duchene at a party on New Years Eve. He brings confusion and caution upon Freya as she already has enough on her plate to deal with in Colorado: family, her own personal and financial life, and a relationship.
