Lyla

In a new part of a neighborhood that was being built, a girl named Elise moved in. Less than a year later, a girl named Lyla moved in across the street from Elise.

They became friends very quickly. Together, they made music videos, started clubs, played games, and just hung out and talked. But, although they were not the only kids in the neighborhood, they were the only kids the same age that were that close together.

Then, for a couple weeks, Elise never saw Lyla outside. Elise thought it was because it was the winter and Lyla was busy with her school musical and winter activities. Lyla's dad came over to Elise's house sometimes to talk with her parents. But, Elise started wondering if maybe it wasn't just winter activities.
