Whatever danger I was facing then, it was nothing compared to what was to come.

Morgan Waverly grew up in the Underground. Much like all of the other teenagers had who lived in the New U.S., AKA the Underground Society. 

Morgan and her twin brother, Wilbur's, parents had gone missing on a rare trip to the Aboveground for the Underground Society. No one was ever really allowed to go to the Aboveground. It was just too dangerous. Everyone knew that.

But not everyone listened. 

Not everyone evacuated along with most of the Old Americans. Only, Morgan didn't know that, not until the day she found out what really what happened to her parents. 

The Aboveground just keeps getting more dangerous by the minute. Especially with the murderous terrorist group, the Red Gun, who was the main reason for the evacuation, was growing. And so were the murders. Including her parents, or so she thought. 

So, when she gets her long-awaited chance to avenge them, along with her brother and her long time best friend Lance, she can't wait.

But she might have to.
