Clara König joined the 100 trainee squad after her father (Nathaniel König) went missing on a survey corps. expedition. After two years of intense training, she was stationed in shinahara district while waiting for graduation. The year was 845. She managed to board the boat before it left, heading into wall rose.
Samuel Farier was 9 on that day. He lived near the gate that was breached in shinahara district. Luckily, he was playing with his friends near the boats. He escaped before and Titans appeared... But without his family. After he arrived in wall rose, he was pushed around by the citizens and military police.
While a few citizens of wall rose were taunting Samuel, Clara stopped them. She then adopted him as a little brother, something she had always wanted.
