“Do you mind? I’m working now!” I spat, he was so infuriating. Jesus Christ… All he did was smirk and let out a deep chuckle. “Don’t worry, babe, you’ll fall for me sooner or later,” he whispered in my ear, squeezing my hip. I gasped. “It’ll happen,” and then he was gone. Adelaide Mel Morcroft is a eighteen year old drop out to help her rather large family. One night, three years ago, she unwillingly goes to a party with her ex-best friend and gets so drunk, that she has sex with a guy. She doesn’t know who it is or why it happened. But the results out of that was her baby boy, Kaleb. She dropped out of high school and got a full-time job at the local café to help her family and son. She doesn’t pay attention to boys, parties or friends anymore. She doesn’t care for that, but when Blake Austen comes strolling into the café the day she’s working, it turns her life upside down. Blake James Austen is a eighteen year old senior in Valley Rock High School. He is the school’s bad boy, who apparently “gets around” with many girls. But the only girl he’s really ever done anything with is Adelaide Morcroft. After that meaningful night with her, he doesn’t talk or even look at her. For three years he ignores her, up until he walks into the café she works at. Something sparks between them and he eventually finds out about Kaleb. Will he stay and get closer to her and his son? Or leave and never tell her what she rightfully should know? Read to find out!:-D
