Set in a futuristic, post-nuclear war dystopia, the enduring human population struggles to survive in a world besieged with plagues, poverty and natural disasters roving the barren lands. A cluster of people call the small island colony of DALLIANCE home, but detest the Crown ruling it.

As treacheries lead them into the crossfire, it's up to Skye to decide whether to take cover or brace herself for the biggest sacrifice yet.

My brows furrowed at the insinuation, "What?" A line of smoke floated around my right shoulder and come between Augustus and I. How convenient. I had the desire to swipe it away but didn't. "What can I say, she...seduced me." Roman purred. His voice was a sensual whisper in my left ear. I subconsciously lifted my shoulder and backed away from it.
