"Chirs, you're acting weird" I backed up to the door as Christina sauntered towards me. "Chris?" I fumbled with the door knob. It was locked. I glanced down to see there was no key… Fudge. "Chris, back off!" I half yelled. "Connor, you don't know what it's like." Her eyes dancing "to feel so…hungry". She came closer and closer until her hand rested on my neck. "Chris! Get away from me" I said pushing her off with difficulty. Christina fell to the floor and bared her fangs. I ran to her desk and rummaged around for the keys but couldn't find them. Shit, shit, shit, shit… First time I'm alone with a girl in her bedroom and she tries to EAT me? I felt her nails claw my shoulders and heard her laugh and my glasses were being taken off. I grabbed her lamp and swung around at her with it. But she wasn't there, or maybe she was. I couldn't see clearly without my glasses. I ran to (what I guessed) was the window and tried to open it. It was locked. "Help!" I shouted, hoping her foster sister would hear me. Chris appeared behind me, reached up and pulled my hair. "Ow, Chris. What the hell is wrong with you?" "I'm just a little hungry, Con." She yanked harder on my hair as I collapsed onto her chair. She laughed sadistically and stared at my neck. Before I knew it, I was on the floor, bleeding from my neck. ********* Christina has been screwed up for most of her life. She's addicted to smoking and skips class. Her best friend Tristan is slowly moving away from her and she's finding herself more alone than ever. She manages to hatch a deal with smart boy, Connor to get her the grades she needs to get into to college and they end up sort of becoming acquaintances. One night, Chris gets bitten. Her life is changed for good now, and though he doesn't know it, Connor is getting into some deep trouble.

There are worse things than death. ___ "What is wrong with you?" I seethed. She had my back against the wall, pinning me down so I couldn't move. She was much stronger than me, even when I used my strength to get out of her embrace. I held her gaze and I knew that she was gone. There wasn't an ounce of goodness left in her body. She laughed at my question. Of course, I knew what was wrong with her. But I have to find a way to get her back. "What is wrong with me? Ha, nothing sweetheart." she told me with a smile on her face. "I'm just having a little fun." "Yeah, and fun for you is killing innocents," I growled. "Oh, I hate to say this to you but they aren't all innocent." I finally broke free of her and I dropped her to the floor. I held her down with both arms while I was on top of her. All she did was give me a smile. An eerie smile that made a shiver run down my spine. "I should kill you for what you've done," I whispered. "I should make you pay." "Oh, but Sebastian, you won't," she said. "You know why? Because at the end of the day I'm still me, and you will never hurt me, will you?" I hated that she was right. I couldn't kill her. My mind told me that it would be the best to do it but my heart told me otherwise. I mentally cursed at myself for letting this happen to her. "Elora, I know you're still in there." I said. She was still on the ground, but she was not resisting which seemed odd. "She died a long time ago," she said finally. "Alongside her love for you." ___ Book Two in the "From Death to Life" Trilogy #13 in Bloodlust
