I cut viciously at my tender skin. I watched as the blood gushed out of the wounds, beading up and spilling over. The crimson mess fell off my arm in small drops, and I continued to tear at my skin. The sting as the blade sliced through my arm was a small price to pay for a big relief. A smile tickled the corners of my mouth. A smile of relief and almost happiness.
Meet Rebecca. Rebecca was raised by parents who drink and harm her. They also harm Daisy, Rebecca's six year old sister. Rebecca sadly only finds relief in self harming.
I blinked away the waterfall of tears threatening to spill over at any moment.
Maybe my parents are right- maybe I am a mistake. I sliced angrily at my wrist again. The blood fell to the floor, painting it in a red coat. I yelled out in rage and sliced some more. By now the blood was pouring out of the cuts, onto my top and the floor. Tears ran Down my cheeks and fell into my cuts. The salty tears of my anger burned like hell.
Meet Ethan. Ethan is a depressed emo who was bullied at the age of ten. His parents don't care about him. They barely talk to him even though they all live under the one roof. He is also a victim of self harming.
So when both Rebecca and Ethan join rehab and find eachother in the same class, will their messy life at homes tear them apart or bring them closer?
