Death, love and mayhem this story was
Inspired to me by the band Slipknot from their song titled "purity". In their live performances Corey Taylor always said the song is about " a girl in a box". This story is a great way to express that I hope everyone enjoys it. It's a tribute to them and their amazing song.

This story is about a 16 year old girl named Melody Swift. Ever since her mother died, her so-called "father" started abusing her. Kids at school are cruel, they bully her brutally just because she's different. She simply waits for everything to get better, after all what's the point in trying when the world will do whatever they can to drag you down. Her only escape from this twisted reality is a creature named Shadow. A terrifying creature that is somehow more humane than the so-called humans around her. Shadow could easily take all her problems away, but Melody refuses to take the easy way out. That is, until she just couldn't take it anymore, she takes Shadow's offer and soon her life got better. Her bullies started disappearing, showing up dead in the woods. Their bodies badly mutilated, almost unrecognizable. Life at school started getting better, she finally had human friends and even a boyfriend. Her "father" was found dead at her house. The torture had finally ended. Unfortunately this story doesn't have a happy ending, after all karma always strikes back.Complete

THIS IS A VERY OLD STORY THAT MY 14Y/O SELF WROTE AND IT'S BASICALLY ANGST AND CLICHÉ AND I HATE ZAYN AND 1D PLEASE DON'T READ THIS. Dear life, No matter how, or from where I start telling my story, it would still sound cliché. After all, it's depressingly common. But I believe that everybody has a choice in how to tell their story, and the way of telling it is what matters. I won't sugar-coat it. I won't say that my journey with you was all sunshine, and no rain; where anything could be solved by a song, because that's not the truth. The truth is as simple as: I hated you. Every time you knocked me down, somehow, I managed to stand up again, but living you was like walking a fine line: I had no idea when I would fall and break my neck. I didn't choose you; I was forced to live you. But you're like swimming in the deep end of the ocean; at any second, a wave would crash over me and I would drown and float away. You have succeeded to swallow me under and pull me apart many times, and I give you credit for that. I wasn't a very tough kid back then, though, because I had nothing to hold on to. My mother gave up on my father and me, and after a while, I gave up on you. But God wanted a different ending to my story, so he threw 'him' into the chaos I call my life. He smiled, and saved me. I found solid ground. And just like that, everything started to make sense again. "I'm Zayn," he said, but to me, it sounded more like, "I'm your saving grace," then, I was catching feelings. I saw the good in you, and he showed me the good in me. That was all it took to save me: a smile. Now, every word, every touch, every kiss gives me one more reason to hold on to you, so I guess I'll be here for a while. And until I'm gone, all I want is to make him happy. The A Team: A Novella
I lost someone dear to me in the midst of the Heroin Epidemic hitting MA in the last 3 years that spurred me to write The A Team. It is a reference to Ed Sheeran's song. This story was my grieving process. Without it, I'd be in a maelstrom of emotions that I wouldn't know what to do with. Also, my favorite band, Fall Out Boy, has a physical copy of this story. I gave it to them this past summer at a Meet & Greet in Mansfield, MA for the Boys of Zummer tour. I'd probably bawl my eyes out if I ever hear that they read it, but I don't want to hold out too much hope. They are my second form of coping with anything, and their music gave me the drive to even write the novella. Here's the description: What does it mean to truly learn to love your life again? Rebellious, yet exceptionally intelligent, Eugenia "Janie" Cole, asks herself this every day. Its hard to do such a thing when life deals you a bad deck of cards. Addicted to pain killer, kicked out of her only home for abusing and stealing said pain killers, becoming homeless, and befriending a punk chick by the name of Nina Monroe; a music scene junkie who seems to be just as messed up as her. In the hidden back drop of Boston, Massachusetts, Janie goes in search of her spirituality through parties, drugs, and that one beautiful moment that will explain to her why darkness follows in her footsteps. They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing.
