Charlotte Neilson and her older brother, Jeremy Neilson, have had it rough. They have been abused their whole life. One night, they did something that their parents would punish them for if they ever did it. And they did. It all goes too far but then it was over. But ever since that night, Charlotte has gone mute.

Three months later, they are living with their Uncle Tom and his family on his ranch. The siblings both help around the ranch but Jeremy is always looking out for his younger sister. Their cousins have become very protective of her as well ever since the siblings moved there.

Charlotte ends up meeting one of the gentlemen that works on her uncle's ranch. Luke Marksmen instantly becomes attracted to her but she wouldn't say a word to him at any cost.

Will Luke be able to get Charlotte away from her overprotective family that are watching over her 24/7? And if he does, will he be able to save her?
