While her mother lay dying from a miscarriage , she was found by an Iroquois tribe. For many years she stayed with them and considered them to be her family. But new settlers are arriving in their land and with them comes trouble. Will May(morning dove as the Iroquois calls her) and Otetiani (her love) be able to save their people and their land?
