Life was horrible. You came home to a beating everyday and only had three older brothers for friends. When the apocalypse started your whole world started crashing down, but a certain boy lighten up your life. And his name was Carl Grimes.
I kissed her forehead down to her lips. It was a soft, gentle, loving kiss. Our lips fit like a puzzle piece. She was slow to react. I cupped her face with my hands. Her skin was soft, smooth, and just flawless. I moved my thumbs in circles on her cheeks. She knocked off my hat and ran her fingers through my hair. We pulled away and rested out foreheads on each other. "I love you," I whispered. She was blushing like crazy and whispered back, "I love you too." We stayed there like that for a long time. We looked into each other's eyes. I really do love her. I love everything about her, from her personality to her smile

Daryl always put on a mask, an impenetrable facade that made him appear indifferent, as if he didn't care about anything or anyone except for himself. He pushed people away, deliberately keeping them at arm's length, but I knew better. I had seen glimpses of something more beneath that hardened exterior-something real, something human. It wasn't obvious, and it wasn't easy to see, but it was there. I didn't know the full extent of his story, of the pain and the ghosts he carried with him, but I could tell that behind his rough edges, there was a man who cared. The more I watched him, the more I saw that contradiction in him-this mix of isolation and vulnerability. I didn't know him the way I wanted to, but at the same time, there was a strange, inexplicable feeling that I did. It was as if there was something familiar in him, something I recognized, even though we'd never truly shared our pasts. His eyes, especially, told a story all their own-a silent narrative of hurt, survival, and loss. There was a depth there, something raw and honest, as though his life before all of this had shaped him into someone who had learned not to trust, not to hope. I found myself wondering what kind of life he had before the world fell apart-what his family had been like, what his childhood had been shaped by. I could imagine the kind of father he had-a man whose influence left deep scars, someone who might have made Daryl believe that showing emotion or affection was a weakness. It wasn't hard to guess that the lessons Daryl had learned were ones forged in silence and pain, things that had made him pull away from others and close off the softer parts of himself. The world didn't end in a bang. The world didn't end in a whisper. Instead, it ended one scream at a time. "You okay?" I heard someone say. I quickly stood up and held my cross bow out in front of me pointing it where the voice came from. "Woah, woah, put the cross bow down." I finally see the boy who was speaking, he looked about my age he has dark brown hair and ocean blue eyes. He wore a blue flannel and a brown cowboy hat. His eyes just made me melt, no, no Ava focus. I stared him down but he stared right back. "Just put it down, no one has to get hurt." I didn't listen to him I just kept aiming at his head. "What's your name?" The boy asked me. I don't understand why he keeps talking to me. I haven't listened. I just stared at him not able to even speak. "You don't talk much huh?" He asked. I just continued to stare at this boy. "Just put the weapon down and we can talk, I promise I won't hurt you." "Give me your gun." I said referring the gun he had in his holster. He pulled it out of his holster. "Put it on the ground in front of you." He did as I said and put it on the ground. "Kick it over here." I commanded. He again did what I asked and kicked the gun towards me. I swiftly bent down, never talking my eyes off the boy in the hat and picked up his gun. "You got anything else?" I asked. "You want to check?" He asked with a smirk plastered on his face. I rolled my eyes at this immature boy. "Do ya or no?" I asked getting frustrated. "I'm not telling you have to check." He told me the smirk never leaving his face. ~.~.~ When the world turns to shit, you learn not to trust anyone. Ava however is not like most people, she saw the good in Carl Grimes that day. She learns more from Carl and his group then she ever did out there. She learns that you need more then food and water and weapons, you need allies, you need friends that could just turn into family. Folding her clothes near where she kept her shoes, I stripped off my clothes and stepped into the shower with her. My hands wrapped around her waist, as I stuck my face in the crook of her neck. I started to do a trail of kisses up to the back of the ear. The tension on her shoulders started to break slowly as I kissed each inch of her skin. I'd been so worried about how she is mentally doing since the death of Lori. She hadn't processed much after the little nugget was birthed. She jumped into action immediately after, coming with me to get formula, and didn't stop until we got back to our mattress. She didn't sleep much, and I followed her out as she let out what she had been holding all day. I also have been holding back something for the past couple of weeks. And I want to be able to tell her, but with everything going on, I'm not sure when it's the appropriate time. Hell, the words have never been formed in my mouth. Not even with my brother. So instead of talking verbally, I let myself speak physically. Her body turned to me, giving me a heated kiss.
