The world of Laeta hovers on the brink of war. The oppressive regime of Emperor Meda Argen has taken its toll on the people. Out of the ashes of broken cities, a fledgling rebellion begins to rise. 

Jade is an assassin, whose only goal have been to survive. Yet, as she picks off the rebellion leaders one by one, she finds herself more entrenched in the growing conflict than she could ever have imagined, going straight to the heart of the rebellion itself. 

As the flame of the rebellion grows, a new king rises. King Sekal, appointed by the Emperor himself to protect the northern regions of the world, has declared war against Meda Argen.
