Have you ever had to move away from the place you loved? See everything you once knew as your home and best friend vanish before your eyes. Lydia Teru experienced this very thing, studying the grey clouds outside of the plane window as she peered down at the distant land beneath her, leaving everything she adored behind. Lydia was absolutely certain that in Florida, where she was forced to move, her heart would not fall for anything. Not the new school which she had to attend, or the students, not even the beach that she had always seen as breathtaking. She swore to herself that she wouldn't let her heart adopt anything in Florida, thinking that maybe, just maybe, her mother would rethink the move and begin to steer her thoughts on Washington once again. However, Lydia's heart betrayed her and did the complete opposite to which she prayed for it not to. Her simple, sweet, heart adopted an interest in Florida and immediately became fond of the phrase, "love at first sight". When Lydia finally concludes that nothing could go wrong in this loveable environment, everything crumbles down in front of her, and Lydia is suddenly afraid that she doesn't know how to get past all of it.

Liam thought that the only significant event that would ever occur in his life would be his parents getting a divorce. But that's where he was wrong. Suddenly, Liam's average Australian teenage boy life is thrown up into the air when he and his mum decide to move to California. Liam finds himself with a buzzing social life that he never had before and of course, a beautiful girl living next door. Will the craziness of teenage life get in the way or will one shake be all it takes? *AUTHOR'S NOTE* I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to anyone who was waiting for me to take this story further. I feel like I hit a bit of a brick wall. I love this story, it was the first time I started writing for me and not for school. I was getting some major writer's block when it came to this story which felt weird because the creative juices had been flowing up to this point. I love this story and the characters and I finally realised that any writing I tried to force out would be really bad quality and that it could ruin the story. I do realise that this is very frustrating; I would be annoyed if someone did it to me. But I really think that in this case, less is more. I may come back to this story one day, but I make no promises. I feel like my time with Liam and Saskia has come to an end. They can enjoy their summer in peace! Basically, this is just a feel-good summer read, and I hope I've brought you some enjoyment at least. xx RomanceWriter2000 :)
