Seventeen year old, Lilac “Li” Arden has a plan. Go to a local college with her boyfriend, get a degree in teaching--just like her boyfriend told her to do, and teach grade school, just like her boyfriend. Li blindly has followed her boyfriend for three years, just to be with him and to make him happy. But, when she shoo’s someone out of the library conference room at school (Hook up central, really), she sees something she wishes she didn’t. Bradley betrayed her, and now, her plan is out the door. Finally, she has to think for herself, and go out into the world, as Lilac not as “Bradley’s girl”.
Thankfully, Li has reliable friends to lean on, as she ventures through the last year of high school. Talents that Bradley repressed come out, and maybe Li will find her calling, in time to find the right college, and maybe even get in!
