The real-life definition of orphan is "someone who no one wants." Love really isn't an option. Gwenivere, or Vere as her friend Lacy calls her, can't find love wherever she tries. No one in her school notices her, and her foster parents only keep her for the compensation checks they receive each month. Vere finds comfort in the stars. One evening she makes a wish, and the powers that be try to grant it to the best of their abilities. What Vere is going to find is that what you wish for isn't as important as what comes of it.

(I don't know if that summed up the story well enough for you, reader, but I would appreciate you checking out my work anyway!)
