After losing her mom and step dad, Brielle moves from Los Angeles to London to live with her aunt. But, her aunt treats her as if Brielle's a piece of trash, so Brielle runs away. After almost a week on the streets of London, she luckily stumbles upon the home of Liam Payne, who takes her in for a few days.

After being thrown into the world of fame when seen with Liam, Brielle stays with Liam, until Eleanor talks Louis into adopting her. After she's adopted, they all become very protective of Brielle, especially when she begins to receive hate from One Direction's fans.

When Brielle tries to kill herself because of the hate, Niall is the only one who can stop her and save her life, and from then on, they become very close- and not because Brielle feels she owes Niall.
