She knelt on scorching gravel and looked at the Landlord's men through teary eyes.
"Forgive me" she joined her hands in a prayer for mercy. "Theif! What makes you think you'll be forgiven for trying to steal from our Lord?" The stout man scowled as he got off his horse. "You're as good as dog meat" The other man laughed while he pulled a rope from the satchel on his horse. 
Tears of helplessness rolled down her cheeks. "I'll never do this again. Please, do let me go" was all she could say to save herself.
A moment later, her attention had been diverted to a conversation of two women. 'I wonder how the Landlord is going to execute this one' 'Maybe cut her limbs off' 'Bury her alive' 'Or he could just feed her to the hounds, like he did with the other theif' 
No! She couldn't let die in such a vain manner. She had to get away!  
But, was there a way to escape these men? Could she save herself?
