Story begins 6 months before 72nd games. Viola Pheonix and Bear Corvin live in District 10 with their families. Viola works minding sheep, while Bear spends his time at the slaughterhouse. It's a simple life, if you disregard the risk of being thrown into the Hunger Games once a year.
