"Corset? You want me to wear a corset?" I asked in utter disbelief, staring at the white, tight-looking piece of clothing that lay on my make-shift bed. It would definitely be breath-taking-literally- as in my breath, not anybody else's. "Of course you have to be adorned in a corset Ms.Alyssa.You could not go to a ball otherwise. Your dress has to be perfect if you want to be noticed by the gentlemen present. If not a proposal of marriage during the course of the night, a dance would suffice by the least". I blinked at her words, my mind processing her expectations at a very slow pace. Guess I shouldn't have expected any less from a lady 40 years older than my 19 year old self. I still couldn't comprehend as to why she chose to call me 'Uglisa', at least it sounded like that. but who am I to talk? I didn't know the VICTORIAN ACCENT now, did I ? I fought the urge to correct her for the uncountable time of the day as I remembered why I had to wear a corset- a costume I would look undeniably hideous in-and 'WHY' , if you ask me, then Leggies Ungentle-germs and squeak-agers( don't look at me. I merely inches away from that- okay, make that a few- long -feet). It's a long story, but that's okay- after all I have all the time History can buy.....All Rights Reserved
