PJ is a she-wolf who dreams of being a doctor. However she is the last of her line and when she finds her mate she must take her seat on the Werewolf Counsel. She is from the untainted original alpha blood line but more importantly she carries traits that only the females can carry which make her very powerful. Even without coming into her full powers is can heal what most would consider mortal wounds as long as they don't bleed out before she has time to heal them. She also has the ability to mask her scent so that no one knows she is a she-wolf. Like every good thing there are drawbacks or a down side to each gift. She knows in her heart that her destiny is to become a doctor and is afraid that if she finds her mate he will interfere with what she knows she must do. Oh yeah she also loves a good prank.

Terrence is the third son of one of the strongest alphas. He has just completed his medical school training and is about to do his residences at the local hospital. His dad comes to him and tells him he needs to meet a new student who will have all the rights of a pack member but will not be joining the pack and that she is his to protect. His dad also tells him if anything were to happen to her it could cause a supernatural war. Upon getting close to her he mistakes her as human and doesn't understand his dad. Terrence also doesn't recognize her so she decides to have some fun.

Book 2 in the Rootbridge Pack series. You DON'T need to have read book 1 in order to enjoy this. You'll find a plot summary for An Alpha's Alpha (Book 1) in Chapter 1. J, has been through a lot. A harrowing upbringing was followed by her and her pack being chased by a murderous alpha, Caine, who was intent on owning and destroying J's Alpha, Cassidy. Now, finally, after years of being on the run, J is...safe. She's always been on the outside, a lone wolf with just enough humanity left to attach herself to Cassidy and her pack, but now she's being offered a life in a loving, safe pack, with friends who are practically family. For anybody else it would be a good thing, a chance at happiness, but for J there's just one obstacle standing in her way: The King is dead, long live the King. She may have killed Caine, but his pack need an Alpha and right now, they think it's her. Realising the biggest threat to her pack is herself, J forces herself to leave and set out on her own. She should have known it would never be that easy. Whispers have travelled about Cassidy's protector. About the woman more wolf than most. * Alpha of the Blackoath pack, Logan Black, has been watching J for a while now. Sure, he tried to stop himself but his wolf is obsessed and so is he. Knowing he can never truly have her, he resigns himself to being her unofficial stalker, protector and guardian angel. So, when an underprepared alpha tries to capture her, he readies himself to go to her defence, but he should have known better. As he watches J destroy the pack who'd been sent to capture her, he realises that maybe, just maybe, he's found the only wolf in existence strong enough to match him. Strong enough to be his mate. Strong enough to kill him. However, when it comes down to it, Logan can't quite bring himself to ask the woman of his dreams to end his life, so instead lets her go - and that's where it all goes wrong.

*Book Three of the Anya Maynard Series* Life has never been easy for Anya. It seems like her entire life she has fought for, well, her life and these days death threats have become the norm. Mated to the Alpha of the Appalachian pack and daughter of the Alpha on High himself she was amply protected, but as a half-breed of human and the purest of werewolf lines there were plenty who would see her dead simply for what she was, never mind the rift she had caused by shifting power equally to the females as well as males. Not bad for someone who had only learned of her wolf heritage a year ago. But with trouble brewing along the southern borders her soul mate, Connor, is left with no choice but to travel without her to evaluate the situation. In his absence it’s Anya that’s in charge. This is her chance to prove she was capable of everything she promised the females were…and it has left her overwhelmed. Throw in the physical and mental exhaustion she feels because of the strain the distance is putting on her soul bond with Connor and she can’t help but doubt her abilities. There was still so much she didn’t know about her race or even the beings in her own town… Things compound when a chance encounter reveals a new enemy, one just as powerful as the wolves…and not of this world. Before Anya and her pack can figure their motives someone very close to her disappears and another is beaten and left for dead. They’re left with more questions than answers and the only wolf that can help is a stranger new to town, a woman claiming to be of Anya’s blood. Anya doesn’t want to believe this woman-her father was her only kin-but even she can see the similarities between the two… …including the woman’s own supernatural gift.
