Two arms grab me from behind, holding me against a hard chest. A surge of electricity goes through my body. "You're mine," he growled in my ear.
"Let me go!" I yell, panic rising within me. I thrash against his hold, only making his grip around me tighten. "I said. Let. Me Go!"
I squirm around until I face him, my eyes on his chest. I'm in no rush to see who's holding me, my main priority is escaping. I start pushing against his chest with as much force as possible, but he doesn't budge. What I don't expect is for him to slowly let me go.
My eyes slowly rise to his face. But when they get there it's not what I expect, and I can't help but gasp. "A-Aidan?" It comes out as a question, even though I know it's him.
He smirks, "hi, Lily."
"Wait, you're my mate?" I just can't manage to wrap my brain around the idea that he's my mate.
The only response i get from him is a bigger smirk.

But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life.
