16 year old Nolyn Yorke is a junior this year at Cedar Valley High School. She's the smartest girl in her class..or at least she thought she was. Her mother and father never married, because her mother had her at 16. So throughout the years it's been just her and her mom, Steph..or at least it was. About a year ago, her mother met Jacob. And now..her and Jake were getting married. So much for it being just her and her mother. On the night of the wedding at the after party..Jake had a significant amount to drink. Nolyn had helped herself to a drink or two as well. She sat out back in the hammock with her laptop and began surfing the web. She felt great.
