Raze

Upon waking up on the dirty floor of a back alley, Onyx finds the world around her in shambles. She returns home to discover that during her lengthy nap, the world has been taken over by strange creatures who call themselves the strigoi, and that she has been turned into one of them. More so, she has been bred to be a Royal, selected by the leaders of the strigoi race to complete a series of trials to prove herself.

Should she succeed, she will live forever alongside the most beautiful, ruthless, cruel leaders the world has ever known. Should she fail, well, she has nothing more to lose except her own life.

In a scramble for security, Onyx finds herself running towards her family, only to have them ripped from her. She allies herself with the human Resistance against this race of creatures she has no desire to lead, only to be manipulated by the humans she trusted. Her morals will be eroded to the point of dissipation, her love will be stretched to the point of obsession, and her name will go down among the strongest strigoi leaders ever to have ruled.

Assuming, of course, she survives.
