Ever since monsterkind lost the war and were sent as a collective to be swallowed whole in the mouth of Mount Ebbot-sealed away and long forgotten-humans had oppressed the remaining humanoid species that had not fought in the war. Dragons were feared, and those born as dragonkin were avoided and seen as ethereal beings. 

Lycanthropes were pulled by two different sides of themselves; the wolf and the human. The wolf wanted them to be free, to live life to the fullest, whilst the human wanted vengeance for the discrimination and oppression of other non-human species they shared the world with.

A few years after monsters emerged from mount ebott, they quickly made their presences known to everyone, and they started to spread everywhere. The only reason he allowed you to be around was mostly because of your ability to put things into your memory with excellent accuracy to remember important things like a certain blueprint or a recipe for medicinal use. You had tried multiple times to befriend Sans but everytime he looked quite uncomfortable so you stopped trying to force him into a friendly relationship. One night you had been left alone with the curious machine as you had leftover work to do and one event led to another. You wish you hadn't cut the string.
