Nineteen year old Lukas, a Militsiyan officer, has a pretty average life for a vampire in Scythia, dealing with annoying co-workers, eccentric friends and the bossy upper-class alongside trying to control his blood lust, being mistreated because of his heritage, the usual. This was his everyday life until Charlotte appears, a girl who claims to be from Earth, he has been tasked with looking after her, as well as orphan Timothy and his crow, Scanlon. (There are some ethically interesting choices from the main characters, thus the mature rating. But nothing graficly shocking should be included, just a couple of murders discussed that could absolutely not be avoided.) (All characters are strictly fictional. I feel this should be highlighted, for while inspiration is always tied to the outer world, imagination composes a story out of it and colors the outcome with dreams and nightmares.)
