Mrs. Molly Granger has five daughters and a big problem: none of them are married, there isn't much fortune to go around, and-thanks to a quirk of English property law-they'll all be kicked out of their house when Mr. Arthur Granger dies. Enter Mr. Harry Potter, a rich, single wizard who moves into their neighborhood and takes a liking to the eldest Miss Granger, Ginny.

But don't save the date quite yet: Mr. Potter might be easygoing and pleasant, but his cousins (Pansy Parkinson and Millicent Zabini) are catty snobs and his controlling friend Mr. Draco Malfoy isn't about to let Harry marry beneath him.

When they all meet up at a local ball, Mr. Malfoy lets everyone around him know just how dumb and boring he finds the whole thing-including our new BFF and protagonist, the second Granger daughter, Hermione.

Note: The Summary was copied from http://www.shmoop.com/pride-and-prejudice/summary.html and revised to include our characters because truly, wasn't that summary just perfectly catty and perfectly imperfect? :)

Why did he have to follow after her! "Go away, Malfoy." The hand dropped away from her wrist. "So, it's Malfoy again." The pain in his words brought Hermione to a halt. "Why did you follow after me?" She whispered without turning around. Draco chuckled and she could imagine him running his hand through his hair. "It's quite obvious why Ginny did this." Hermione turned around to look at him, stunned that he had called Ginny by her name. He brought his eyes to meet hers and laughed. "Apparently, not that obvious." He continued when she remained quiet. "She's playing matchmaker." Ginny was doing what! Hermione was going to have to have a long chat with her friend. "I'll tell her to stop." She said tersely. "Why?" Did he really just ask her why? He should be the one to know why, Hermione had told him the reason why they would never be together. Then she remembered his words from that day, he had told her that she was worth the wait. . . . . . . . Characters belong to J.K Rowling.
