'Staring in the mirror, she looked at her blurred face. Tears threatened at the corners of her almond eyes...'
Everything in Ruby's life was about to change; sending all she knew and loved into disordered chaos...
A story of social challenge, courage and the importance of friendship.

Rolex Ruby uncovers the tragic story of poverty; the drastic effects of unemployment and disability as well as exploring the social dynamics that 12 year old Ruby has to adapt to.

Just a little background...
This is only a short story which I wrote for my Extended Project Qualification for college. The qualification required me to find a subject of interest and to use my skills to either create a product or write a report. Having always loved writing, I decided to write a book.
Rolex Ruby was then researched extensively before being written. Once my first draft was complete, I and my parents (Andy and Julia) edited it thoroughly so there *fingers crossed* shouldn't be any mistakes - though don't hesitate to point anything out!
I painted the covers and bound the book myself. I also had to write a report and do a presentation to gain the qualification along with the 12000 word story. I am on for at least an A grade for it and I really hope you enjoy reading it here.

It is available in hard copy or ebook through Amazon - links on my profile.

Thanks so much for your support,

Is she willing to accept his past and move on? ********* I thought about all the obstacles I had to overcome to get to where I am today as I walked towards my sons crib. Everything I went through was worth it. "Don't worry, mommy's coming," I said in a baby voice hoping to comfort him even though he wasn't crying. My heart dropped in my chest when I saw it was empty. No baby in sight. "Gray!," I screamed loudly like I was getting stabbed over and over again. He ran into the nursery, scanning the area for any danger. "He's gone! Our baby's gone!" His eyebrows furrowed as his eyes softened realising what happened. Just as quick as it came, it vanished and he was back with the icy look in his eye. The one he had when we first met. For a moment, I was afraid of him going back to his old self before dismissing that thought and focusing on my missing newborn son. Don't worry, I'm coming for you, my little bubba... Will the angel given to him melt the Alphas ice solid façade or not? Is she helping him escape his darkness or is she dragging him into hers? Read to find out... Cover by @belladz07

"Ruby you are so stupid/worthless/pathetic!" I hear that all the time, if only the words didn't bother me but they do. I wish it would stop. I wish I had a friend at least, so I knew at least one person in the world thought I was worth their time. *There are some very dark themes here in this story just be aware. And beware if the stuff in the story will trigger any thoughts and feelings like this!!*
