Clarisse Romero's life changed drastically when she was four. Her mother dropped her off at a mansion, claiming it's where she really belongs. She never sees her mother again. The people that she now calls her family are different than your average people. They are highly intelligent, have super strength, and speed. They make her grow up quick, much to her dismay. She also has to call the adults by terms such as Alpha, Luna, Beta and so on. She never understands it. She is now 14 and starting high school. She starts hearing rumors about herself, talking about her possible 'First Shift' and finding a mate. And as ever she is confused.
