The Emellyn Project

In the new year of 2014 a young boy of the name Ethen had been struck with a severe contagious illness that left him dying at a very young age. The disease had been the start of a worldwide epidemic, leaving tens of thousands of infants and young children dead. Panic had washed over each and every nation, leaving millions of people afraid for their children's lives.

As the plague continued to spread throughout the world, the government had realized that it did not only infect the young, but it also infected people of all ages.
Knowing that if this plague had continued to advance any longer it would result into millions of innocent civillians deaths, the government decided that it was now or never. They teamed up with forces all around the world to stop the outbreak and contain the virus.

This was the start of Project Cyrus, a plan each nations government had decided would be the only way the human race would continue to remain. The idea of The emellyn project was to use cryonic chambers which allowed the portion of the population that was infected to become frozen and live until they found a cure. Knowing this was their only hope they set the plan in motion, hoping that it could stop the plague once and for all.

This is where Everest and Cara come in,Everest the sibling of their deceased brother Ethen, he had been infected by the disease as well and was sent into the program. As they remained frozen in time the program had soon been forgotten after thousands of years, they were then left to sit in a chamber for the rest of their lives along with 5,000,000 others.

In the year 6001 is the year when the chamber had malfunctioned, opening up one chamber that had belonged to Everest. The panicked Everest then found Cara's chamber and released her as well. Not knowing that the disease was still deep inside them, they set out looking for whatever family they may have had left.

Little did they know that what was about to happen next would change them forever.
