He took a whiff of his cigarette before pulling me close to him. My heart was thumping so hard against my chest that I was afraid he'd feel it as I was pressed so tightly against him.
He lowered his lips to mine and I instinctively opened my mouth as I captured the smoke. I wanted nothing more than to cough but I was dead set on proving to him that I wasn't as stuck up as he thought I was.
He looked at me intently and I could see the glaze covering his eyes.

"You passed" He said and I let out the breath I was holding.

I passed. That was all that mattered to me. He smiled at me and I couldn't help myself as I was affected by him so I returned his smile.

When Carter Simon is forced to find a new place to live, her only option is to rent a room from a sexy stranger. Could she be exactly what he needs? "Why are you yelling at me? You started this shit!" My voice was loud enough that I was sure the neighbors could hear. "I started this shit?" He let out an unamused laugh. His eyes raking over every inch of my body. "You're the one who decided to prance around the house with your ass out." My blood was boiling. I took a bold step toward him, my hands balled into fists. "Maybe if you took a second to talk to me, I would have known you were home and put pants on!" He stalked toward me and my reflexes kicked in. I placed an open hand to his bare chest and he shivered beneath my touch. His stare softened and instead of storming off, he took a step closer. I could feel his minty breath on my cheek as he leaned forward. "You drive me fucking crazy. You're infuriating, obnoxious, immature and a massive pain in my ass." "If I'm so awful, leave me alone! It'll be like I'm not even here." A low chuckle left him as he closed the little space between us. My heart was beating out of my chest. "You see, I can't do that sweetheart." I swallowed the nervous lump forming in my throat. "And why is that?" "Because as much as you piss me off, I'm addicted to everything about you. Your body, your smell, your annoying ass voice. You're always talking back, and instead of hating you I've started to live for the challenge. You're intoxicating, and I just need you to shut the fuck up." I dared to step closer, closing the space between us. I could see his pulse quicken in his neck, as he tightened his jaw. "Make me."

Like the ocean

11 parts Ongoing Mature

His gaze was piercing and endless. His eyes vibrant, blue and luminous; like the ocean. Every time he looked at me it was as though they resembled a hurricane, fierce and captivating. His hair was shining in the pale light of the rising moon and setting sun. It glimmered gold, like crisp leaves in Autumn and fell along his face. The water dripping, falling upon his smooth muscles. Everything about him made my insides go crazy, I couldn't think properly. The ocean crashing against the shore gave me a lulling temptation to just step closer. His face was chiseled by God himself, and his lips, oh his lips. They were pink and pouted; they looked so soft, so poisonously kissable. The desire was inextinguishable. The fire in my heart could not be burned out. I just wanted to know. I needed to know. I leaned in and our lips met in a kiss that felt like every bridge that had ever burned, had been burned for me. It felt like nothing imaginable, almost like time had stopped in place and we were frozen in this moment. No rest or peace was placed along those ominous eyes that resembled the chaos beneath the crashing waves. When he leaned in and closed them, they suddenly looked calm. Like the ocean.
