Lauren Michelle Jauregui, 18 year old genius, who has already been accepted into Harvard, makes the horrible mistake of forgetting to double check the number she texts. It's not totally her fault though; her partner for her new assignment in AP English class has terrible handwriting. But his chicken scratch might just be the best thing that has ever happened to her. The fact that she had read the number eight instead of three from that piece of paper is not just a dumb mistake to her. Lauren likes to believe it was fate that lead her to starting a conversation with the girl who thinks that "boys suck".
