Fia Traeman lives on the edge of the apocalypse. Decades after civilization's collapse, mother nature is still intact, but humanity only remains a fraction of its former self. Gangs pillage and plunder, a fearsome plague continues to sweep through the land, and survival is the only alternative to harmony. In other words, the human race is on the verge of extinction, and dirty scavengers like Fia and her friends have been forced to wait until death finally knocks on everyone's door.

But there is still a plan for what's left of humanity, and Fia learns of it after uncovering a mysterious black-haired man from the snow. Unwillingly, she is thrown into a battle between angels and demons, and although she may be human, she could be the key to winning the earth's last great war.
