This is a story about Robin Hoods daughter. I originally wanted to do a Robin Hood re-telling, but I couldn't think of a plot.

........................................................

Emmalina has been an orphan since she was twelve. Her mother had died from the fever and her father had left on a crusade when she was three. She kept her family a secret from everyone she met, not wanting to think about it. She lived as a ward in the castle, helping the maids and the stable hands as much as she could. Work kept her mind off her past. The only true friends she had were 19 year old Callum McClain and Dax, her black-footed ferret. She had a sickness that grew in her for years and she never told anyone. It grew worse over the years and one day, her mind brings an old enemy of her family down upon her. As the castle burns, secrets unfold...

The young Princess could not bring herself to speak and fought to catch a breath as she feared her life would be taken next. She was prepared to join her parents in the afterlife she had heard so much about in church. When she met his steel gray eyes, she noticed they were both cold and magnetic. She challenged him with her glare and showed him no fear. Afterall, he was the one behind the mask. He made the young princess a promise that day, as he stared at her with amusement. "I will come back for you." He spoke so deeply and almost sounded as if he were a king himself. At his promise, the Princess shivered and turned her head away. When the young Princess, heard the slamming of the door she could no longer keep in her screams and tears. Her tear drops mixed in with the bloody floor beneath her. Legend says, the young Princess made a promise to her parents that day, she would conquer and claim the lives of the men that did this. She would bring them to their knees and leave them on the floor bleeding out, as they had left her parents. Vengeance. She thought to herself. Such a beautiful word.

!!!Undergoing Editing!!! *previously known as The Red Queen Effect* "It's strange what desires could make foolish people do. I'd never dreamed that I'd love somebody like you, And I never dreamed that I'd lose somebody like you." ~ Wicked Game by Chris Isaak There were many times that I could remember hearing the stories about people falling in love or meeting their one true love. Stories that had allowed me to fantasize about meeting my true love, the one that fate had chosen for me. However, it seemed like it truly was never meant to be, according to my grandmother, "Love is a Queen's greatest weakness. Remember, my dear granddaughter, you are a Princess now but you will soon be a Queen who will rule with an iron fist and an empty heart." But was love truly a weakness? According to the stories that I have read and heard around the castle, love seemed to be something magical and incredible, especially if it was true love. So, how could someone determine it to be a weakness? It wasn't until I landed in Neverland that I had to find out the truth the hard way, in the most excruciating and heart-wrenching way possible. Yet, It was my fault after all, I decided to make a game out of it and someone else decided to use that to their advantage. If I was given the chance to change something from my past it would have been to prevent myself from all of the heartache that was to come. Maybe then I could have saved myself the trouble of having to rip out my own heart. But you know what they say, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." I am the daughter of the Evil Queen, the granddaughter of the former Queen of Hearts, there is no such thing as a happy ending for people like me. What a Wicked Game life plays. *Comments and votes are always welcomed. ** I do not own Once Upon A Time, only my characters Clara, Ravenna, Kingsley, and Flynn and any ideas for this story.
