"So, how did you even end up, locked up here? You know, in the "grand" royal prison, about to be hanged for your crimes. What did you do?" The young man in the next cell rambled, setting his chin on his knuckles. He looked eager to hear my answer, as if he hadn't had a conversation with another person in years. 'Which wouldn't be hard to believe'

"You really want to hear the whole story?" I asked, to which he nodded in response. The strange light in his eyes made me hesitate for a second.

I cleared my throat, trying to get as comfortable as possible in a prison cell. "Alright then. It started when my old mentor said she was in great need of royal blood,"
