Introduction:

24 year old Tiyana Matthews, was a shy, timid girl. But she held her own and knew the ways of the world. She had her own pad, her own car, and her own job. She felt like she owned the world in her mind.

But there was one thing missing from her life, and that was love. She was sensitive when it came to that subject. Tiyana had a bad childhood and didn't want to look back on it. That included ignoring her family and old friends. 

She never had love but when 25 year old Artemis, a king pin moves in just across the street. She couldn't help herself to fall for his looks and his mean ways. But will she fall in love? Or will her past get in the way of everything?

He's strong, intimidating, and pretty much has people running for the hills at the very aspect of him getting angry. His devil-may-care attitude swirls around him and no one wants to get on his bad side. Of course River is afraid of him, and she has a good right to be. But when River starts to learn more of the young man everyone fears she starts to see him in a new way. After some time feelings grow stronger and she hopes she's not fallen for a murderer. And if she has, who is she to deny him the love he so desperately needs?
