Peridot finds herself under too much pressure by Garnet who is trying to whip Peridot into shape with cruel and merciless training, forcing her to leave Beach City and get away from the unnatural lifestyle the Crystal Gems are trying to accustom her to.
Alone and afraid, Peridot finds herself found. But not by the gems. Instead, a civilization of fusion monsters that came out of incubation properly. Having recognised the small and afraid technician, she is taken away by the eerily normal looking cluster gem experiments.
Their foul plans for Peridot and their endless nights of torture soon cause the green gem to regret ever leaving the gems side. But will they find her in time?...Will the Cluster civilization carry out their horrible plans on Peridot?...And if they succeed, what will become of Peridot's gem?...

So he just let it happen even though it was hurting when his gem was rotating but white diamond said that it might take awhile for it to rotate.
