Azrael, an Archangel, struggles to this day with what he believes is the worst job in heaven; warning humans of their impending death. When God choses to bring souls home to him, Azrael is sent to warn them before hand and help them make the most out of their final days.
Ever since his designation as the Angel of Death, Azrael has questioned why he must do what he does to people and their families before death. Rather than tell him outright, God has chosen to let Azrael learn the answer through choice and his own experience.
