I got off of the bus in some rinkydink town with the intention of finding a motel for the night, and the nearest fast food joint. I noticed that across the street there was a motel 8, and beside that was some kind of bowling alley. 'Barker Lanes' is what the sign said.
'Well, hopefully this dump at least has some decent food' I muttered to myself as I walked in.
The first thing I saw was some guy behind the counter. He was handing out shoes.
'Excuse me? Do y'all have a restaurant here?' I think I scared the guy because his eyes seemed to widen.
'Uhh. Yeah! We got burgers and dogs over to the left! I'm Forrest'
He stuck his hand out. I shook it, but only because I don't want to continue this awkward conversation any longer. I start to walk away but Forrest stops me.
'Hey! What's your name?'
I sigh. I am not here to make friends. Friends are only good for three things. Hurting you, ruining your life, and slowing you down.

-"Why are you crying?" What, I didn't know I was crying. -"Come on." He offers a hand to help me up. -"Stay away... from me." "You dropped this." I heard a husky voice say. I turned around to look at what I dropped and realized it was my schedule. I gasped. Damn, I would have been fucked if I'd lost it.
