"You can't get the job down in fear, you must look pass your fears. If you don't, you'll be the result of innocent lives lost. You're meant for this, you just don't know it yet. It is with you, Sage Weathers. They are with you, depending on you." I hear a voice call out. A voice I could not identify, a shadow in the darkness. It called out to me, and all I could see was a small speck of light.

A resistance fighter volunteers for a task created by General Organa. After receiving the proper training, she is sent on her classified mission. She underestimates the cost of taking on the task.

"When I offer you my hand again, you'll take it." What if Kylo Ren had been right? What if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he offered it the second time, deciding her best chance at defeating Palpatine and saving the galaxy was with him? But can the two of them overcome their differences and mistrust of each other to accomplish that task or will pride win out? And then there is a certain group of meddling Force Ghosts determined to test them to their fullest. Meanwhile, Finn has a destiny of his own to fulfill chasing visions of his past across the galaxy. Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version. This will contain mature and graphic content. 11/9/20 #1 in Palpatine #2 in Reylofanfiction 11/24 #37 in Reylo 12/14/20 Almost 9k reads, y'all are the best #61 in Star Wars (out of 26k!) #1 in reylofanfiction #1 in greyjedi 5/2/21 #3 in Reylo I am completely blown away by you all! 5/6/21 #1 in Reylo you all are awesome! I'm starting to move away from canon compliance and adopting some items from the EU but with a heavy dose of artistic license. Early chapters are ~1000 words, later are over 3000. I do not own any of the original Lucasfilm characters. All rights reserved. Artwork belongs to kaylerinarts (seriously, check her out). Reviews and constructive criticism appreciated.

40 parts Ongoing Mature

You've served as a senior aide and personal bodyguard to Senator Bail Organa since the war began. You're known in Senate halls for your blunt mouth, Alderaanian diplomacy and general disdain for galactic politics. Despite that, you're fiercely loyal to Bail and his idealism-even when you don't believe in the Republic as strongly as he does. Your assignments often cross with Padmé Amidala, and while the two of you have different views, you respect her. Lately, though, something's wrong. She's jumpy, quieter. When she requests your protection over a Jedi escort to an important summit on Riosa-a neutral system debating Separatist alignment-you know it's more than nerves.
